W.W.E.D.?
You are out with your friends and your guy friend, who you like, calls you a name that you don’t like in front of you and your friends. You think to yourself, Wow that was mean.” but you take it and laugh right along. Now, ask yourself this “What would Edward Do?” You can bet he never would have done that! Maybe this guy really isn’t all he is cracked up to be. Maybe you shouldn’t waste your time on him.
Take a look around your world, notice who is behaving appropriately and who is a jerk. Don’t give those jerks the time of day until they learn manners and how to treat you. W.W.E.D. does not just apply to significant others, it applies to all guys. Don’t let your guy friends get away with behaving badly as well. Tell them to stop being a jerk, demand they open doors and pull chairs out for you. Don’t settle for anything less. It’s not about them liking you in “that way”, it’s about them doing whats right. Juat imagine being treated like that from a friend. Pretty neat feeling isn’t it? If you help them along they will eventually be someone’s Edward.
I spent so many days and nights stressing out about why or why not these guys I liked didn’t like me, when the answer was obvious. They were disrespectful and sometimes downright mean. I never had someone who asked the question “What would Edward do?”
Take a closer look at manners and how you are being treated. It is amazing how you change your mind about a person. My hope is that you will spend less time stressing out like I did.
Just remember that Edward from the book is NOT real. He is a vampire and no man can be that. Personally, I think cuddling with a freezing cold vampire sounds awful! Do not try and find Edward, you won’t. You need to find Edwards manners and politeness because THAT is what is important.
Let's start a revolution!
Get yourself a W.W.E.D. wristband to remind yourself how you should be treated. If you ever wonder what to think take a look at your wrist for the constant reminder that your Edward is out there and you shouldn't settle for anything less.
