Now this should be an obvious one. A gentleman opens the door for his lady. Any door. Yet some guys out there do not do this and the girls who are with these guys put up with this behavior. Edward does it on page 102 “He held the door for me…” As simple as that.
If your guy or guys friends are not doing this for you, there is a big problem. Now, I realize us women can open a door for ourselves and it is really not a difficult thing to do. But when a gentleman opens the door for you it is a sign of respect. He’s not trying to control you and he certainly doesn’t think you are weak. He is just being kind. Let him do it.
Most of all, say thank you. We a man opens a door for me you bet I am going to thank him. he didn’t have to do that for me but he wanted to, to be kind. Do not let feminism get in the way of this simple gesture. It really is a good thing.
